Guests often praise

  • Delicious and high-quality food in the restaurant, frequently described as outstanding and comparable to fine dining.

Fantastic hotel, staff and service! The rooms were a great price. The building has amazing character. We weren't able to stay late enough for breakfast but they left us a cold breakfast and a toaster. The evening meal was absolutely delicious, a bit like fine dining with smaller portions but definitely worth it!

We only ate in the restaurant at Ty Gwyn but it was the best meal of the trip. We were a large group of 6 people and everything was perfect. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was outstanding… we’d had a number of bad meals during the weekend so it was refreshing to have a meal which was so great. We loved The cottage pub atmosphere and the interior has been so thoughtfully designed. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back and would recommend to everyone looking for excellent food in a beautiful country pub.

I recently stayed at Tŷ Gwyn Hotel and absolutely loved the ambiance. The bar area is filled with vintage decor, creating a nostalgic and cozy atmosphere that I really enjoyed. The room was also very comfortable, contributing to the overall positive experience. However, there were a few small issues. The lady at the reception was not very friendly, which was a bit off-putting. Additionally, the jacuzzi bath in our room didn't have a shower hose, making it impossible to take a regular shower. When we asked the receptionist for a place to shower, her response was quite unhelpful and not very friendly. Despite these issues, I still really appreciated the charm and character of the hotel. I hope these concerns are addressed soon to improve the guest experience.

Amazing hotel, very well decorated … it feels like you’re in a medieval tavern. Just so sooo beautiful. Rooms were super comfortable. Staff extremely polite .. it seems to be run by a family and they are incredible. Excellent location and amazing breakfast. The cost/benefit was big for me and we’ll be coming back

Charming hotel, perfectly located for exploring North Wales. The rooms are clean and beautifully maintained. The restaurant is a must try with outstanding food - we would travel there for dinner even if we weren't staying at the hotel. Just a note regarding accessibility - all bedrooms are upstairs with step access only.

Went to Ty Gwyn for food, living locally but not been there for ages. Menu and food superb. Lots of choice in all 3 courses. Service really good from the whole team. Very reasonable prices for great quality food. Will be back and definitely recommend.

Has been sleeping in 4 different hotels at this vacation, and this was the best with no doubt, and the others had high standards as well. Would really like to come back. A hotel like it has to be in Wales. The food was outstanding, only problem was it was hard to choose, but that's a good problem. Good service, and very good room.

We were staying in the area for 2 nights. Had dinner here on our 1st night. The food was excellent. The service was a bit slow but to be fair they were very busy that night. We actually went back the next night too as we had enjoyed the food. I had the hake wrapped in parma ham both nights...loved it!
